for Teachers

The ASMCF welcomes teachers in the Association’s mission to advance and develop research and education concerning modern and contemporary France in the United Kingdom.

Resources for teachers

In an effort to support the post-16 study of French, the ASMCF has recently released a collection of articles on the classic of contemporary, French cinema, La Haine.

This collection is open access for a year and has been designed to provide useful, contextual information on La Haine, which will help support students’ analysis of the film. You can access it by clicking the link here: La Haine

Interested in finding out more? Join the ASMCF as a member and get access to further resources and to be eligible to apply to our new funding scheme, co-sponsored by the Society for the Study of French History (SSFH).

Questions? If you have any queries about ASMCF’s resources for teachers and other benefits please contact asmcf-outreach@protonmail.com

Funding Opportunities

There are opportunities for teachers to work with academics to support outreach activities of up to £1500 through our joint ASMCF-SSFH Schools' Liaison and Outreach Fund for French and French History.
